Over 40 Eyes

In our early forties, we start to notice that is more difficult to focus on objects at close range. People will start to notice that it is difficult to read small print or use the computer for extended periods. This condition is called presbyopia. Presbyopia gradually occurs over several years, but often the symptoms can have a sudden onset. Symptoms include eyestrain, fatigue, headaches, and blurred vision. Bifocal lenses, computer glasses, reading glasses, and multifocal contact lenses can be prescribed to make your vision clear again.

COMPUTER GLASSES

This is a great solution for those who spend several hours each day on a computer. Our optician will work with you to make sure that your computer glasses are custom-designed for how you use your computer, whether it's a desktop, laptop, or tablet.

PROGRESSIVE BIFOCALS (NO-LINE BIFOCALS)

These lenses provide you with the ability to see far away, up close, and everything in between. The advantage to a progressive bifocal is that there is no line on the lens to disrupt your vision. In the past, these lenses caused distorted vision, but new digital technology has allowed us to create HD and even customized progressive lenses for amazing clarity of vision.

MULTIFOCAL CONTACT LENSES

If you need bifocals but don’t want to give up your contact lenses, we have good news! New multifocal contact lens designs mean that you can continue to wear your contact lenses and see clearly. Think of them as progressive lenses with the convenience of a contact lens.
